New Board Member Michael Nora ’12 X2020 Excited to Serve Chi Zeta
As an undergraduate, Michael Nora ’12 X2020 served as house manager, High Alpha, and on the executive committee at large. “As Alpha, I enjoyed working with the alumni board to solve the chapter’s problems,” Mike said. “It was an incredible experience to work with the alumni and house officers to ensure the future of Chi Zeta. I knew I would eventually want to be on the board to guide younger members through the fraternity experience.”
One of Mike’s goals as a new board member is to help connect younger and older alumni. “I would love to strengthen the connection between the LXA generations, so we can provide mentorship and networking opportunities.” Another goal he hopes to achieve is re-establishing a scholarship fund for deserving members so financial obligations don’t prevent them from enjoying the brotherhood.
Mike encourages active chapter members and recent graduates to stay connected with Lambda Chi Alpha for life. “I have been blessed with great college friends who helped develop me into the person I am today. I am even marrying a woman who was president of her sorority at Illinois; we met at a presidents’ retreat and have been together since. You will be amazed how the connections you make in college will impact you later on in your career and personal life.”
Mike is currently a project application engineer with Aqua-Aerobic Systems, working with customers on how their equipment can be applied to solve wastewater treatment issues. He has been with the company since graduation and recently passed his engineering boards. You can connect with Mike about ΛΧΑ at firstname.lastname@example.org.
